{"id":1303,"date":"2011-04-26T14:21:44","date_gmt":"2011-04-26T21:21:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.glorajean.com\/content\/?p=1303"},"modified":"2011-04-26T14:21:44","modified_gmt":"2011-04-26T21:21:44","slug":"i-thank-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.glorajean.com\/content\/?p=1303","title":{"rendered":"I Thank Him"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><em>I heard <a title=\"LDS General Conference\" href=\"http:\/\/lds.org\/general-conference\/2002\/10\/called-to-serve?lang=eng\">someone express a\u00a0testimony<\/a> by starting each sentence with &#8220;I thank Him&#8230;&#8221; The speaker only did this for a short few sentences, but I liked that style and wanted to try writing something like it myself. It was harder than I thought and I realized that I might never &#8220;finish&#8221; it. So here is my unfinished first-attempt.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I thank Him for the\u00a0confidence I receive in knowing\u00a0that\u00a0He is a God of truth, and canst not lie;\u00a0that\u00a0He cannot walk in crooked paths; neither doth he vary from that which he hath said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>I thank him for knowing that\u00a0His promises, declared by His servants the prophets, are sure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>I thank Him, knowing He orchestrates a way through\u00a0great chaotic interaction of natural forces\u00a0alongside both the good and evil designs of men;\u00a0He acts in\u00a0wisdom, and\u00a0knowest\u00a0all things.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>I thank Him that if I do what he has asked (search diligently, pray always, and\u00a0be believing), all of these forces will be orchestrated for my\u00a0good.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>I thank Him, that He sent His Son.\u00a0I thank His Son, that He finished the work that Our Father gave Him to do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I heard someone express a\u00a0testimony by starting each sentence with &#8220;I thank Him&#8230;&#8221; The speaker only did this for a short few sentences, but I liked that style and wanted to try writing something like it myself.
