For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Romans 1:20<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.” (Alma 30:44<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; (Romans 1:21<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues.” – Thomas S. Monson,\u00a0The Divine Gift of Gratitude<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.\u00a0(Romans 1:21<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that\u00a0were\u00a0round about them,\u00a0concerning\u00a0whom the\u00a0Lord\u00a0had charged them, that they should not do like them.” (2 Kings. 17:15<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,\u00a0\u00a0(Romans 1:22<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish.” (2 Nephi 9:28<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
