It’s amazing what boredom will make you do.\u00a0 Out of desperation we decided to attempt to add excitement and wonder to our rather dull day by driving to the enchanting Gem state.\u00a0 For those of you who do not know, or can not read the title, that is Idaho.\u00a0 ID.\u00a0 Land of potatoes.\u00a0 Thus the opening song that one of us, who would like to remain anonymous, made up during the fascinating and extremely scenic\u00a0drive from Logan to Preston.<\/p>\n

Arriving in Preston, we did the only thing logical to do in Preston: search for Napoleon Dynamite sites.\u00a0 However, since this trip was severely spontaneous and derived from sheer desperation to salvage an already dismal day celebration, we were lacking A) A map\/list of sites, B) a camera, and C) our minds (what WERE we thinking anyway?).\u00a0<\/p>\n
We did, however, after a frantic call to free directory assistance, find the DI.\u00a0 In it’s temporary location due to remodeling.\u00a0 No dance groove videos or sweet suits.\u00a0 They didn’t even have used tots.\u00a0 We also went to Kings, where they do NOT carry 24 packs of markers.\u00a0 Or 12 packs either.\u00a0 They really mix and match these days with the economic crisis.\u00a0 Only 10 packs for Prestonians.<\/p>\n
And, yes, we went to the bathroom in the one grocery store we could find.\u00a0 No, no movie significance that we know of, but, hey, I’m pregnant and picky\u00a0and it’s the nicest looking building in Preston.\u00a0 And it was my birthday.\u00a0 Apparently.<\/p>\n
We also saw a suicidal cow just south of Richmond, UT.\u00a0 It appeared\u00a0to be precariously\u00a0atop a billboard that was smaller than the actual\u00a0cow.\u00a0 Reports from the\u00a0engineer in the family indicated\u00a0that the structure was not\u00a0designed to support such a load.\u00a0 Yeah, we’re talking about you,\u00a0Betsy.\u00a0 They weren’t kidding when they said happy cows come from California.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
